When you think of Crawford County and Real Estate, the name that comes to mind should be Kress!  The Kress family name has been synonymous with real estate since 1945.   Vic Kress, Sr. started the company, Vic Kress Real Estate, as a "one person operation" that year.  In later years, his sons, Vic Kress Jr. in 1960 and Richard "Biff" Kress in 1976 joined him after their college graduations.  Vic Kress Sr. subsequently retired in 1977.

The two brothers continued to work and grow the business and in 1997 due in part to their outstanding reputation for providing professional real estate service they were selected to join the Better Homes and Gardens real estate network.  This network consists of over 1,300 real estate offices nationwide and has over 22,000 sales professionals.  In 2000, when GMAC Home Services Division purchased Better Homes and Gardens and the company became Kress GMAC Real Estate.

Kress GMAC Real Estate is consistently one of the top producing companies in Northwest Pennsylvania.  They are members of the Greater Meadville Board of Realtors and its Multiple Listing Service.  Kress GMAC Real Estate services Greater Crawford County, and the bordering areas of Erie, Mercer and Venango Counties.

Still independently owned and operated, Kress GMAC Real Estate has 13 agents in addition to a front office staff of 1 full time employee and 1 part time employee.  The company is located in the same building it has occupied since 1953, The Kress Building, on the corner of Chestnut Street and Chancery Lane, Meadville, PA.
